Joel Embiid suspendido ng 3 laro dahil sa panunulak sa reporter

Suspendido ng tatlong laro si si Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid dahil sa hindi magandang asal na ipinakita nito sa isang journalist sa NBA. 

Dahil dito, tatakbo ang suspensyon ni Embiid sa mga laro ng 76ers kontra Clippers, Lakers, at Hornets. 

Tinulak ni Embiid si Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Marcus Hayes matapos na hindi umano nagustuhan ng NBA star ang isinulat nitong balita tungkol sa pambabatikos sa anak at namayapang kapatid nito. 

Ayon kay NBA executive vice president and head of basketball operations Joe Dumars, dapat aniya ay magkaroon ng ‘mutual respect’ sa pagitan ng mga players at media.

Bagaman nauunawaan ng NBA officials ang damdamin ni Embiid ay hindi pa rin tama ang ginawa nitong panunulak sa naturang journalist. 

“Mutual respect is paramount to the relationship between players and media in the NBA. While we understand Joel was offended by the personal nature of the original version of the reporter’s column, interactions must remain professional on both sides and can never turn physical,” ani Dumars.

Samantala, hindi rin naman makakapaglaro si Embiid dahil sa tinamo nitong left knee injuries mula nang makaharap ng 76ers ang Memphis noong Sabado kung saan natalo sila sa score na 127-107.
